The short answer
A chargeback is when a cardholder disputes a payment with their bank. On Clover, disputes live under Finances, then Disputes, where you can search by case number and filter by location, date, amount, card and dispute type.

Step by step
1. Finances, then Disputes
Every chargeback and retrieval request on your account is listed here.
2. Search by case number
If your provider sent you a notice, paste the case number to jump straight to it.

Narrow by location, date, amount, card brand and dispute type.
4. Respond before the deadline
Send receipts, signed slips, delivery proof or messages with the customer. Missed deadlines usually mean you lose the dispute.
