The short answer
Set up your Clover menu: categories group items into the buttons staff tap, modifier groups add options like milk or toppings (with or without a price), and discounts give preset percent or dollar amounts.

Step by step
1. Categories are your POS buttons
Each category gets a colour and a list of items. Staff tap the category, then the item.
2. Modifier groups add options
"Coffee Milks" or "Coffee Add Ons" attach to many items at once. A modifier can be free or add to the price.
3. Groups vs single modifiers
Switch tabs to edit one modifier, like oat milk, across every group it belongs to.
4. Discounts
With no custom discounts, Clover shows defaults on the POS: 10%, 25%, 50%, $1, $5 and $10 off.
5. Make your own
Create named discounts, like an employee discount, so the Discounts report shows exactly what was given away.
