The short answer

Use two Clover reports to run your business: Item sales (best sellers, gross and net sales, cost of goods and gross profit) and Tender types (how much came in by credit card, debit, cash and other tenders).

In this video

Step by step

1. Item sales: what actually sells

Gross sales, net sales, cost of goods (COGS), gross profit and margin for the date range you pick.

2. Group by category, show modifiers

Switch the grouping to category and turn on modifiers to see which add-ons earn money.

3. Sort the table

Sort by net sales to find your top sellers, or search by item name, SKU or product code.

4. Tender types: how you were paid

See amount collected by credit card, debit, cash, gift card and custom tenders, plus transaction counts and refunds.
